View Templates and Design Options

I've created a view template, whose sole setting is to change the Design options visible in a given view.

When I apply that design option to a number of views at once, it doesn't seem to work properly. Sometimes, the elements in that design option become invisible. Sometimes, under Visibility / Graphics, that a given design option seems to be set correctly, but the image on the screen represents the other design option.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any way to fix this?

I am experiencing this in Revit 2012. It does not make sense.

I have experienced this when making multiple view setting changes, or doing a lot of toggling back and forth. I believe its a graphics regeneration issue, but haven't nailed it down to that completely. I do NOT experience the issue if I am not flipping options back and forth, or pushing out a change to multiple views. When you see the issue, try closing Revit, reopening and seeing if the issue repeats.
