Image Tile Menu to What?

I have been looking for a solution to a problem on the Forums. I have an old image tile menu that has been used at the company since the late 80's, early 90's. It has several "panels" of hardware specific (mil spec) to what we do. I have been reading that I should not expect for the image tile menus to be around for ever so i am looking for other options.

Tool pallets will require a major undertaking due to the way the original tile menu was created. It works but it's a pain to modify. Is there another option out there other than Tool Pallets? I want to get away from the tile menus but don't want to go to tool pallets if there is a better option.

DesignCenter is another option.

Compared to TP...
Pros: updates automatically when drawings are added/deleted/moved/etc/
Cons: cannot set things like scale, layer, etc.

I had forgotten about DC. The last time I have even opened it was back in 2004. Did they ever fix that problem of it crashing you AutoCAD?

I use it all the time, never had any crashes because of it.

I believe they have fixed. I also used it with AC 2004. My computer would either crash or I would have to go to task manager to stop AutoCAD. It is interesting to here that there were other people in other offices that had the same problem. Maybe it is how AC was originally installed at our office? Who knows. However, on the next release, AC 2005, I had no problem. It is a great tool. To me, it works even faster that AC's Reference Manager when listing xref'd files.
