Repeating Detail Problem - 12"x8"x16" Smooth Face CMU - Section

Don't know if anyone has had this problem, but looked everywhere on the forum & can't find an answer. When I put a detail component for a 12"x8"x16" Smooth Face CMU-Section, I able to turn off/on the grout/mortar visibility. But when I go do a repeating detail, I don't have that option or can't turn it off/on??? Also when I do a repeating detail for the Smooth Face CMU the grout does not show up, but when I do a repeating detail for the Split Face CMU the grout shows up??? Why??

Just the way the author chose to create them. You could open them up and make them do whatever you like.

yeah, but if I just simply use a single cmu detail component I'm able to turn on/off the grout/mortar, but when I do a cmu detail component repeat I don't have this option?? Why??

Its the way the Repeat Detail Command works.
It only Repeats the Default Component. If the Default Component has the Grout turned off - then it should repeat it this way. You cannot "Turn off" anything in a repeat detail.
