Smile Propagation of changes in the style library

    Greetings!

I'm quite new to the style library concept, having started to research it only recently. The following seemed strange to me. When I create a file and save it on disk, and later add a material to the style library, I can open that file and see new material added automatically to the list in the style manager. But if I make a change to the existing material, and open that file, the change is not consumed - I have to manually update the style to see the change.

Is it really working that way, or am I doing something wrong?

    Enfiel3D,

If I understand correctly, the style is working as designed.

It sounds like you're using external styles libraries (you'll see it in the project, set to 'yes' or 'read only').

I think what's happening is when you're changing your style, it's overriding the style inside your file.

When you save the style to the library, it updates the style libraries and makes that change available to all files.

    Hope this helps!

I would have thought so as well. But it does not override setting in an already created file - only in the newly created ones.

To all files you then create. But it does not reflected in the existing files. That is what seemed strange to me.
