I am extending some walls to the roof line using the auto project tool. Working like a charm on the gable, but wont' close up the gap between roof and wall on the eave end. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Doug

Maybe I am not clear on the issue. The exterior walls need to "chamfer" at the top to match the pitch of the roof (walls are not structral as the project is a timber frame home). Maybe it is an issue to resolve in the wall style settings?
Thanks for your help.

It probably is more along the lines of this is the incorrect sub-forum. If you let me know what Autodesk software you are using, I can get this moved over to the correct forum. I'm thinking this is regarding AutoCAD Architecture, but I could be wrong.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

Sorry if I am in the wrong forum - using autocad architecture 2010... got an answer in another forum to the problem...
"The RoofLine command only projects to a point of intersection; i.e., no shape change. If your Roof is deeper than any point on the Wall that might project up through it, you can try using a Wall Interference Condition so the Roof is Subtracted from the Wall. This trick can also be used with other objects to create the solution you seek - in case the Roof isn't deep enough. Wall Sweeps offer another option.

Even easier than that is to go to an elevation view and draw a polyline where you want the wall to terminate. The polyline doesn't need to line up with the wall at all, i.e. it can be 100' in front of it if you want it to.
Then use the same modify roofline command, but choose "project to polyline".
