Default AutoCAD closing when select PDF

While trying to plot in AutoCAD LT 2009, when I select our PDF plotter in the pulldown, AutoCAD immediately closes.
(Side note - never had this problem in pervious version AutoCAD LT 2006)
    Any Ideas?

What do you mean by pdf plotter? Do you mean a .pc3 file or a windows printer?

If it's a windows pdf printer/driver then can you print to it from other programmes, word for example?

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling or recreating the .pc3 file?

    .pc3

used the add a plotter wizard a long time ago to reconfigure from a windows printer to a .pc3 file
