Paste to Original Coordinates problem

I am now using Map 3d 2010 and when I select entities in a dwg, copy to the clipboard and then open a new blank dwg, the "Paste to Original Coordinates" option on right click is grayed out. I never had this problem in 2007. Now I have to "Copy with Base Point" and then paste usng the coordinates. Is there some variable I am missing? It was much faster in 2007. I am assuming this is another one of AutoDesk's so-called improvements.

If you're using the ribbon, under the Home tab in the Clipboard panel you'll see the past button. There is a drop down that allows you to select Original Coordinates. This works even if the right click option is grayed out.

Why the right click option grays out I have no idea. Just know it did it to me in 2009.

I tried that and now the right click option seems to be working normally. I need to try it after a reboot.
