Summary: I wish Revit had another layer of sophistication for dealing with Bid Packages on fast-track projects. The current method of managing this information with respect to corresponding addendum and construction bulletins is archaic.

Description: I wish Revit had another layer of sophistication for dealing with Bid Packages on fast-track projects. The current method of managing this information with respect to corresponding addendum and construction bulletins is archaic.

How Used: More projects are becoming fast-track and are delivered with multiple bid packages. A way to do this would be to replace "Revisions" with "Issuances" and create a hierarchy where one could associate certain revisions with these issuances.

For example:

For small projects, there may be only two issuances with a few revisions per issuance:

Issue: Footings and Foundations
-Rev1: Addendum #1
Issue: Construction Bulletin #1
Issue: Construction Set
Issue: Construction Bulletin #2

For large/complex projects there could be several bid packages with addendums tied to each of them:

Issue: Bid Package 1
-Rev: Addendum #1
Issue: Bid Package 2
-Rev: Addendum #1
-Rev: Addendum #2
Issue: Construction Bulletin #1
Issue: Bid Package 3
-Rev: Addendum #1
-Rev: Addendum #2
Issue: Bid Package 4
Issue: Construction Bulletin #2
.....etc.................

The issuance can then be tied directily to a set of compose sheets, which would then only show the appropriate revisions associated with that issuance.

A schedule could then be created that would be able to log the revisions under the associated issuance.
