    Default Getting Started

I attended a workshop put on by a local reseller where all the ducts, diffusers, vav units all connected very easily. I am trying to learn this software and cannot figure out how to do an initial set up so that I can draw ductwork so that the pieces automatically connect to each other... Looking for a hand with this set up process.

Don't bother, learn to manually route and connect diffusers and duct. The auto route feature is next to useless.

There is much more to it than what you saw in those "canned" workshops.

I agree with tys90, I have never got it to work the way I intended.
You waste more time screwing with it only to change it around over and over.

So would you recommend any literature on this process?

Also thank you for pointing me in the right direction

Advanced Solutions sells a fundamentals book. That is the only one I am aware of besides the courseware from Autodesk, which you do not want.

    signed.

Manually route all the time and manually size. The automatic route/sizing is abysmal in Revit.
