Caddog, did you ever get my quickie version of my Insert Layer program? Did it work? I was more interested in showing you some basics on creating layers and launching dialogs to push you to create your own proggy in VB.NET. it was simple and ...in no way... copied your version but that wasn't my intent.

Yes, I got it. (I thought I told you that.) Anyway, I recently upgraded my machine and have not reinstalled all of my tools. When I have time, I'll look into it more.

Thanks for sharing. Would you mind if it was posted in the forums?
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

    No problem...

Maybe someone else can improve on my idea...

I sent it to your personal email you gave me. Maybe a DLL file can't be emailed to your server for security reasons. I'll try again Monday from work. Again though, it wasn't trying to mimic your version of inserting layers. I simply wanted to get you started with some simple VB.NET programming to build your project yourself. I'll try again Monday.
