import mpp into navisworks

I have an .mpp file that I need to import into Navisworks Manage 2011...
the only choice I get is to import an .mpx file. and I am unable to export from MP 2007 as an .mpx.

help!

You need to have Microsoft Project installed on the same machine as NW to import MPP files. If you have both, do a reinstall of NW and it should give you that option.

Or get a trial version of Asta powerproject, copy and paste the tasks from project and export from Asta...this works but only for 30 days with the trial

This worked for me:
In the file dialog, type *.mpp in the file name text box and hit Enter. You ought to be able to pick your MPP file and it looked like it linked ok to me in my limited test.
