    Angry Map 3D incompatibility

I edited a drawing using Civil3D and when a person using Map3D tried to use it, he found some basic functions no longer worked, the specific problem was Continuous Distance. It appeared to work but returned no distances. When the drawing is saved from Civil 3D it says it is saving in 2004 format. This is obviously a lie. Exporting to AutoCad2004 about quadruples the file size.
    Help!

Please post a sampe of this suspect file for us to examine
(zip it up and attach it here)

Also see if he has issues with

A ) In options for proxy objects turn OFF object detect and command invoke
and see if that has a positive impact.

    OR

    B) Use map to query in the data from the 3d file and work on it
    again looking for positive results.

Also be sure that your UCS folow is 1 and that you are in the top view.

    An update from the front.

    Dateline Arizona ......

On creating a drawing with a couple of polygons in it in Civil 3D 2005
placing one dimension, and a continuation of that one save and close.
Open that drawing in MAP that ships with Land Desktop 2005, resume
the continued dimension results in success.

You will need to post that drawing or forward directly to me for further study.

All 2005 products use the same file format as 2004.
