Default User is getting Unkown Commands

This is doing my head in today.

I have a user that is getting lots of Unknown Commands for everything! It's only when he opens existing drawings. If he creates a new drawing he doesn't have the problem. If someone else logs onto the machine it's all fine.

    examples:

_ai_selall, ALIGNSPACE, ZE, TEXTMASK, LCR, etc...

also at openning of the drawing:

    Resolve Xref "3382729-X-050_PRELIM DES_20091218": 3382729-X-050_PRELIM
    DES_20091218.dwg
    "3382729-X-050_PRELIM DES_20091218" loaded:
    P:\338\3382729\CAD\XREF\3382729-X-050_PRELIM DES_20091218.dwg
    Regenerating layout.
    Regenerating model.

    Now i've checked the following:

    Command: (findfile "acad.pgp")
    "D:\\00\\A2008\\Autodesk\\acad.pgp"

    and

    Command: (findfile "acad.mnl")
    "D:\\00\\A2008\\Autodesk\\acad.mnl"

    i've re-installed xmxml6, rebuilt profiles,

I"m stuck and my head is going to explode...

Some of those commands are from the Express Tools. Try reloading the Express Tools. If that doesn't work, you need to look at the rest of their start up files.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

I like that 2010 tells you what is going on...

I would change back to "out of the box" profile and
see if it continues to happen.

If it doesn't then most likely, it is like Opie stated...

Take your time but I'm sure you'll work it out...

Keep us posted because the same thing may happen to others.

    Thanks

Sorry I forgot to mention this is on 2008.

Opie: The problem doesn't occur when the user creates a new drawing. He can have the drawings causing problems open at the time and get the unkown commands then click new drawing and in the new drawing it will work 100% correct.

CadDog: It's interesting that another user can log onto the same machine and open the same drawing using the same default (all be it customized) profile which we copied back onto the machine (it's loaded via the shotcut command line) to overwrite the existing one and he will not have a problem at all, yet even with the replaced profile the user will contiune to have the problem.

I'm going to be looking into it more today.

Is it possible there's an issue with administrative rights? I'm only thinking this because of the difference between 2 users. I don't see how that could impact an old vs. new drawing, though, unless it's something in the directory structure.

Check the startup-suite for user LISPs. Had a user with a similar problem, the suite had a LISP that had execute-on-load behavior but threw an error when it tried to run. That failure stopped pretty much everything else loading, which in turn didn't define the commands.

Mamma: Nope the two users don't have admin rights so it can't be an issue with that.

Dgorsman: We have checked that and he's got the standard startup process as per everyone else.

We have him now working on anouther machine without a problem. So i guess it's kinda resolved... I'm going to have a look into his machine to see what the problem is.
