Wink Revit render fails with 3dsMax open

Revit 2011 will not render ( fboxrender process will not start ) if Revit and 3dsMax Design
    are open simultaneously.

Shutting down Max will allow Revit to render.

Has anyone else seen this, or confirm?

    cheers........

No, I can even have 3dsMaxDesign2011 and Revit 2011 rendering at the same time with no problems.

A problem I am seeing however is that cancelling a render in 3dsMD2011 hangs the PC needing Task Manager to get out of it.

    ...and another thing

I came across this which says us Metric types should change to Imperial units before exporting fbx for import to 3dsMD2011 because of difference in light emitter shape sizes.

Not sure about that units thing from Autodesk...

Reading the FBX Help file it says that by default units are matched automatically... ?

So much to learn, so little...

Maybe it's a function of the model size. I just tried it with a very simple model, without a problem...
