Order of open drawings - Can you sort it so ALT TAB is in order?

When I get close to deadline, and I'm doing sheet setup, I like to open all of my sheet files and ALT TAB through them to get gestalt of the appearance of the set, and how close to done I am.

What bugs me is I can't control the order in which AutoCAD sorts the drawings. It doesn't seem to be by file name. I thought it might be in the order you open them, but I opened them in order and still it's not right.

Can this be done. Probably one of those really simple things that I should know after using the software for 12 years.... but I don't.

Have you tried Quick View Drawings? Its in the status bar. One click shows you all open dwgs, one more click switches to it.

Great option, but I'm not getting them sorted in order - left to right.

I guess I'm a bit OCD. I need order.

If you want order, then try using SSM as the main tool for entering drawings

Yes, sheetset manager is great. I do use it, also for plotting.

I guess a double click on the drawing you want will do the same as an ALT TAB if it's already open, won't it? except going straight to that one.

I need that second monitor to keep my properties, Sheetset manger, xref manager on.
