We are attempting to organize a section of the Vault where our most commonly used assemblies live, and we're looking for an industry standard arrangement of folders if there is such a thing.
We are an exhibit fabrication house, and frequently specify and use the same assemblies over and over again - just how to organize them.
Something like:
-Fasteners
-Hardware
- Hinges
-Locks, etc
-Bearings
-Linear
-Thrust
-Roller (etc)
Bushings
Audio
-Speakers
-Audio Servers and Repeaters
-Amplifiers, etc
Visual
-Projectors
-Screens
-Video Servers and Repeaters
Glazing Systems
Lighting Systems
-Fixtures
-Incandescent
-Fluorescent
-Low Voltage
-Track
- Transformers and Ballasts
As you can see we have some industry specific categories, but I was wondering if anyone has employed a "framework" such as AIA guidelines or Sweets Catalogue or McMaster Carr, Grainger's, etc or other organizational schema that we can adapt to our needs?
Thanks!
