    Default Reports from Vault

    Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to generate a "report" or simply a text listing of all files contained in a specific folder in the Vault?
Something like the old DOS command,
    dir/B>list.txt
would create a list of files in whatever directory whose root you were in?

We are building a parts library which is constantly added to and subtracted from and are looking for a way to report contents on a regular basis for our detailers to refer to instead of hunting through the Vault all the time.

    Thanks,

I'm sure there is a better way, but for lack of knowing what that is, you could try setting up a saved search. That way any time a change takes place it will be refected immediately when you run that saved search, and you could then print out the results.

To do that, go to FIND, then set up your search parameters, then save it with an appropriate name. Good luck! HTH

I've since found an easy solution. Once you have the contents of the folder dispayed int he Vault, simply go Edit,,,Select All,,,Copy
and then paste it into and Excel worksheet.
