cuix file

I have a customized workspace in my "main customization file (c3d.cuix)". How can I copy that cuix file to another station?

I don't know where windows vista keeps user files, they seem to have been all shuffled around in that version. However you can save a copy to a location of your choosing using the CUI dialog.

1. type CUI at the command prompt while in Civil 3D
2. Select the transfer tab
3. Drag whatever you want to move from the Left window to the Right window
4. Using the pull down menu about the right window, select save as...
5. Move the cuix file that you saved to the new machine

On the new machine...

6. type CUI at the command prompt while in Civil 3D
7. Select the transfer tab
8. Using the pull-down above the Right window, select open
9. Browse to and select the cuix you copied to the new machine
10. Drag whatever you want to move from the Right window to the Left window
11. Hit apply then OK, and your done.
