    Default Help me upgrade?

I have been getting into a lot more 3D drawing lately and my computer is just not keeping up. My computer setup is detailed in the attached Belarc Advisor report.

Can someone give me suggestions on what I can do to make this computer process 3D graphics a lot better?

    Hi James.

I'd fit another 6 x 1024 Mb SIMMS and upgrade to a 64-bit OS; either WinXP or Win7.
You've got the empty slots and it's quite easy.

OK, so this is the plan

upgrade from XP to XP-64 (i would upgrade to windows 7 but i have ACAD 2009 and cant convince the company to join the subscription program...)

swap my NVIDIA Quadro FX570 for an ATI 100-505511 FireGL V5600 Video Card - 512MB GDDR4, PCI Express, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, Workstation, Video Card

pull my two 1GB sticks and installing two Kingston Hyper X Dual Channel 4096MB PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz Memory (2x2048MB)

    Any input would be appreciated!

Acad 2009 works fine with Windows 7. I would go with that.
