    Default DWT File Issue

I have a template file that looks like it had a bunch of AEC objects embeeded in it. As such I cleaned out any applications links as we used to use ACAD Architecture for this department. However even after this I run an audit and I still find 400+ objects. When I started with the file before getting rid of the ACAD Arch items it was over 1600. Any ideas as I would think a template should have 0 objects.

    TIA,

    Bill

Look for a lisp file called aec-purge, it should strip any aec bits out of your dwg; you can then save it as a template.

Disregard this post I have actually found my 300 objects. When the user created the template file they as such with many different styles, blocks etc which still count to the object count.

If you want to purge the styles, go to style manager and purge from there and then associated blocks, layers, etc. can then be purged. Style "Standard" must remain so if anything is embedded in this style you can't purge it unless you redefine the style. This is usually the reason for pesky layers you can't seem to purge.
