Question Application ERROR: There are no viewports avaliable to create Detail view

    Hi all,

I created the steel model, created the group, assigned a new position, generated a drawing (top view) of the group. everything works.

Then, in the edition layout, i want to use the "Add View (detail)" command: asd asks the first and second corner of the detail view, the detail view name and scale, and then it says : "Application ERROR: There are no viewports avaliable to create Detail view"

what does it mean? have you seen this kind of error before?

    thanks

ps there is also a small spelling error... should be "available"

    Hi

That's because the "Printout" you choose has only one Viewport. You can create a copy of the Printout "Top view" (let's say "Top view2"). In this Printout, make another vieport with whatever view you like.

Then go to Position-> Attach Document-> choose "Top view2"(as a printout). Now it should work.

    Good luck.

Add a detail view to your template.

As you never know when you might want a cut or callout, I add the detail view to every template I use, except my Isometric views.
