Custom Label Borders?

Hello,

I am pretty new to Civil 3D, so I appologize if this is a trivial question, but here goes. I am using 2009 and am wondering if it is possible to create a custom border for labels? Something other than rectangle, rounded rectangle, or circular? Ideally I'd like a hexagon, but any customization would be good.

Yes, it can be done but, it is fairly difficult to set up (especially if you "pretty new" to Civil 3D).
