    Default CSV and Parameter Text

Is it possible to use a text column from a CSV file in a Revit family?

I have tried ##Other## ##Other##Text and an array of different options, but every time the error message "Inconsistent Units" appears. From what I have read it is considered a bug and cannot be done. Am I doing it wrong or is there a work around?

    Thanks,

    Eric

.csv file is only can be used in the pipe fitting families.

Maybe you are confusing with the .csv and .txt type catalog file?

can someone confirm or deny this statement?

I would love to use the csv to look up information in some of our equipment families.

The statement is "mostly" correct. CSV's can also be used for conduit.

However, they cannot be used for things such as mechanical equipment because the parameter that calls the lookup table (Lookup Table Name) is hard coded into the family type.
