I am currently using 2010 and trying to update a drawing made in inventor. For some reason, I can make one change and save my file, but subsequently after that I get an error that says "Problems encountered while saving the document".
Any ideas?

Most of these issues involve the use or misuse of Inventor project files. Are both files you are working on located in your project ipj? Is there any lightening bolts on your drawing views?
There are no lightening bolts on the drawing views. As I tried to describe in my initial post, I am just trying to update a previously made drawing. I do not recall having any of these problems prior to now. All of the files are located in the proper locations.
As you mention the lightning bolts, when I updated the drawing, there were times I had to save and exit before going to update the next sheet. Or if I used the update all, I would get the same message.
Any chance of posting the file set?
If not, is there anything that is amiss with the files? Have you tried a Rebuild All on the modeling files to see if an update is lagging? Do you have Defer Update turned on for drawings (you would see the local update button highlighted if that is the case in the drawing).
Mark,
File set is very large! I opened the file on another machine that was set up the same way and did not have the same problem.
Uninstalled and reinstalled software. Tried Rebuild all. "Defer Update" is turned on (I believe)
Has to be some setting somewhere with Vista 64 (my guess)
