    Default google earth connection - globe link vs google earth extension

    while exporting revit models to google earth via globe link, I discovered a strange behaviour when the target aerea is not flat. (pic_1)
    this is caused by the "relative to ground methode" used in the exporter to calculate the geometry z-coordinate.
    looks like deconstructivism, but I guess this is not the intention of the inventor.

    exporting through autocad's google earth extension (labs.autodesk.com) keeps the model upright. (pic_2)
    this methode uses an enapsulated collada file.
    but with this approach you don't have access to the materials of the model inside google earth anymore.

    hopefully a combination with the best of both exporters will make it soon into revit.

    Yes, I too have noticed this. Can you explain how you used Autocads to export it correctly?

    1) from revit export the model as fbx
    2) in autocad -> importfbx
    3) then -> publishkml
