IGES Files Selection Dialog Box

When I select the IGES Insert from the INSERT pull down menu or type IGESIN at the command line I do not get the file dialog box I get the command line prompt "IGES Filename:". File dialog works for all other commands except IGES and STEP. What is the system variable that controls this dialog box?

I get the same thing...........what if igesin is already set to 1???

The <filedia> is set to 1. The NEW Drawing, OPEN, INSERT block and all other dialog boxes work it is just when I try to insert an IGES or STEP file that I get the command line prompt.

The problem has been solved, I had to set the system variable <CMDDIA> to 1.

Thanks. Setting the CMDDIA variable to 1 fixed the problem.
