Default how to modify the model's properties in NavisWorks

We have a project including severl DGN files, and each DGN file includes a number of models. Open this project using NavisWorks manage, and we can get the properitis of each model.

My question is how to modify the values of these properties?

Navisworks is primarily aimed as a design review tool, and thus does not support editing of either geometry or properties imported from CAD models. Any properties that require modification should be modified in the CAD model & re-imported.

    Hope that helps,

    Jeff

    Thanks, Jeff.

I noticed that, so I tried to develop a program to modify the properties. It works, however, I don't know how to add a new one, as well as delete an existing one. Could you please take a look at another thread I posted? There is a piece of coding. Hope you can let me know what's wrong

I am not sure what properties you wish to modify, but you might be better off linking it to an ODBC database using the data tools (also supports SQL). This would probably be a better way to do about it as you can keep that data clean in Navis (how it came in from the respective datasets) and tie it to an external database that can be updated. You can also add properties to elements. A little time consuming, but it can be done.
