Greetings all!
I have a question that I have not been able to find a very complete answer to yet. Our company is attempting to address the lack of standards we have when it comes to construction document management. In particular as it pertains to addendums, change orders, & as-builts for jobs that have already went out for bid. That being said, I would like to state up front that we are not looking to move to an EDMS at this time, so my questions deal strictly with the hard copies. I also aplologize up front if this post is confusing. It is hard to put into words what I am after. I have tried consulting the National CAD Standard to no avail.
I have found some guidance when it comes to making revisions to drawings that have already been issued (out for bid). We can use a revison cloud with revision triangles to revise drawing already present in the drawing set, but the situation that concerns me the most is how do you address a scenario that involves adding a new sheet to a set of documents that have already been issed as only having say 50 sheets, but if you were to add this new sheet there would technically be 51? Surely there is a way to account for this type of revision situation without having to renumber (re-issue) all the other sheets.
I would appriciate any insight you all have to offer.
Sincerely,
Mike
