editing band labels

i have created profiles and attached the necessary bands, but the accuracy of the bands is too great for what what im doing. i have a pipe gradient band and it is set to 4 decimal places. i really only need it to be a whole number and it is just a thick line of unreadable text now when i go to print. when i go to edit the label, i edit the pipe and structure labels but i cant get it to reduce below 3 decimal places. does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?????

When you edit the labels in the band style, do you make sure to 'send' the change to the text preview window with the arrow?
