Complete ignorance of STB's

I have been sent a file that uses STB's in its plot menu.

Our standards here is to use a named CTB file, the plot menu will not allow me to access our ctb library.

What setting controls this? Can I change it back to using .ctb files.

My path settings are right so i guess that am missing a switch somewhere.

It was the convertpstyles command.

Would never have found it myself. Don't get on with acad help perhaps I'm not patient enough
