    Default Seeking a Method...

... of turning an intersection of two lines into a node. Is there any software, free or purchase-able that does this within Autocad ?

Something could be coded. Is it just two lines intersecting one another that you want a node placed there?

What is a "node"? Is the OP referring to a point object or something else?

    Sorry, an AutoCAD "POINT".

Are you sure that's what the OP wants?
I see nothing to verify that assumption.
As far as we know, their "node" may mean a manhole cover block insertion. (Granted, code won't change that much unless the "node" is some vertical/3rd-party object.)

Not at all, which is why I'm asking questions. However, I'll admit, I just assumed node was POINT.

Ah, node, yes, a point. If two lines are crossing, or two lines meet, I suppose the thing to do would be to extract the points from the data file. However, I would like to visually be able to cross two lines, or have them meet, and then have the visual of the intersection point increase so that regions may be bound to them easily.

Here is a function to find the intersection of two lines.
You should be able to use this as a starting point.

I am not sure, but I think it might be a built in feature? Particularly where two polylines or lines end and begin, I would think that there is a node identified at that point, which could be turned on or off, and blown up in size or as ddptype shows..
    Is this true?

I've posted a picture clip demonstrating, the blue flags are the grips, showing ends and midpoint.

You mean a grip-node? I've never seen such "custom" grips before. They're only shown as an interactive tool for editing the entity they refer to. If you do place points on the intersections, you'll get the same appearance after you've selected those points. But they won't work as you're expecting, e.g. selecting the point and grip-dragging it somewhere else will have no effect on the intersecting lines at all.
