You mean you can't remember every little nuiance of an extremely versatile program?

I'm sure even Philbrick and Simeone don't know it all.

Where it gets really interesting is when helping different people using different versions of the software, and remembering "Oh yeah, it worked like this until the 2008 version, then it changed to this, and now in 2011 it works like this" sort of stuff...

Wow you guys are making this incredibly difficult or am I missing something? He just wants to delete points from the DTM to rework the contours.

    You have two options.

    1. Edit your surface style......Click on display........turn on points........then click the edits and delete the point from the surface manually.

    2. Use the surface simplify options and tell it to skip a couple points

I don't think so! All he asked is how to delete points from the surface and you guys went off on some tangent about excluding some points with excel exports and imports. Using ascii files to exclude points from a tin. His grid is too dense and the relief is too small for all those points to cleanly create contours the way he thinks they should be displayed. Why would you make it as difficult as this instead of just simplifying the surface which is a command in c3d that does the exact same thing or manually deleting a point or two.

No problem. I thought they were going a little over the top with you there. Simple questions generally need simple answers. I'm glad I could help.
