Removing An Excel Link

Hey Guys,

I have created a table which we want to use as a legend and as the boss no longer uses autocad but still wants to be able to alter the legend , so i have made an excel link.
All works well the table is perfect even down to the fact that when we insert the table all cells and spacings are pefect.

Now the issue is, we want to remove the excel link (detach data link), when the legend "block" is entered to the drawing, and also want to remove the excel "xref".

Our Process is
1) Insert "legend" (this will have the explode on insert setup)
2) Run a lisp that will
2a) Remove all data links to excel
2b) Remove any excel xref

Does anyone have a routine that can help?
