SSM Index Table - Add periods to page numbers?

Hello All,

The firm I work for likes to have periods after the page numbers (1., 2., 3., etc.) in the Index Table. I do not want to add a period to the page number through the SSM's rename/renumber form because then I'll have periods on the Title Block for each of those sheets (3. of 25, 15. of 25, etc.).

So, is there an efficient solution to this? Currently, some of the CAD operators will explode the Index Table and manually place periods after the page number (thus, ridding the use of updating the table). I like to export the Index Table to Excel and format the page numbers to have periods and then copy/paste back into AutoCAD (it saves 10-15 mins of adding periods to each individual number...and I still can't update).

It's 2010 and I feel like there ought to be a better solution than the above. Anyone have a solution?

It's funny because I've ran across your site multiple times now looking for an answer. If there isn't an "easy" solution, then I'll look into purchasing SSM editor program.
