New to Revit Structure no analytical need now Just 3d coordination efforts
I do not want to adjust instance parameters for each piece of beam and bracing I add
How can I best leverage work planes and references to this end?
My take is reference levels are dependent on work planes
Work planes are constrained to model levels
so...
level-2 = 20'
I have columns, beams and bracing to place
We are doing secondary structure infill , so only linked revit structure model for what to avoid
I need to place columns at places other than levels created for model IE: top of retaining wall top of non piled footing Do I create level ref plane or use a work plane based on?
top of steel for beams is 3/16" below that level and offset up with vertical spacing of 6'-8" each (all horiz and perp to each other)
i would like for this increment to be constrained somehow
Bracing (kickers) beam to col
I am guessing that is mostly an instance property? streamlined process tips and tricks would be nice.
I posted here as I could see where this would apply to architectural when laying out preliminary design concepts
thanks in advance
