Create Mass / Import / Design options

Hi All,

I am making the leap into API scripting after a few years out of the game (ex-java).
I hope some of you may be ale to help me along the path here with the 2 apps I am currently researching.

What I hope to achieve is to import a collection of solid model files as SAT as exported from MAX. I then need to have all of these inside Revit as Mass Families and then inside a unique design option per mass family.

Do you guys think this will be possible?

Summary: "A collection of SAT files imported to Revit as Design Options"

Rough Outline of API tasks so far:
1.1 Create new Conceptual Mass Family
1.2 Import SAT file (Solid- originally from MAX)
1.3 Save Mass family, same name as imported SAT file
1.4 Close and re-run on all files in folder (100)

2.1 Start new Project
2.2 Import/Load all Mass families as created previously
2.3 Create new Design option for each Mass Family in project.
2.4 Send each loaded Mass Family to a unique design option
