Hi all,
Attached you'll find my first try at a structural steel detail, built up in Revit. Not only for show, but with the intent to get technical drawings out of it, ready to be sent to contractors and steel manufacturers.
First results are good I think. As a design-tool it's just great how flexible you can alter the detail, which is one from a rather complex project in the Netherlands, Groningen (Groninger Forum). But as a documentation tool it's equalling/surpassing the detailing-software we use right now to produce our structural details. Both in quality, insight and in time.
We are an engineering and design firm in the Netherlands, with building, structural and MEP engineering departments.
I'm looking forward to your replies/suggestions and will be happy to answer any questions.
