Changing type mark in Door tag

Hi

In Revit 2011 when i change the Type mark in a door type parameters it doesn't change in the Door tag Value unlike in early versions of Revit.

Can anybody post a solution for it.

Are you changing the "Type Mark" in the type parameter window?

Instead, highlight the door and go to the properties browser. Edit the value for "Mark" under the identity data.

This is also how we do it for window tags.

Thanks & I have tried doing the same.

What happens is if i want to inset another door with the same Tag it warns me that the data is duplicated. But i dont have this problem in using window tags

Edit the door tag. Most likely, it is set to work with "Mark" which is an instance parameter, which is useful if you want to mark your doors with a unique designation such as "1", "2", "3", etc.. Make the door tag label work with "Mark type", which is a type parameter, so that you can mark all the doors of the same kind with the same designation, such as "A".
