Default Architect's light fixtures don't show dark [2009]

I've got an architectural model that is linked into our MEP mode. We're using the architect's light fixtures on our lighting plans. In VG, I have the halftone toggled on for the link. The discipline for my view is set to electrical. The few light fixtures we have in our model show up dark; the architect's are showing up haltfone. What's the deal? Do I have to modify their model and change their discipline to electrical?

I believe if you "halftone" the entire Linked Arch. model, then the lights will be
    halftoned.

Try going to VG and Custom setting, and changing the light fixture category in the linked Arch. model.

    cheers

Maybe the category of their fixtures are not "Lighting Fixtures".

What I really meant to say was Edit the Family (of the Arch's Lite) and change the category there.

    Just wanted to follow up...
The arch's light fixtures are actual light fixtures. Apparently half-toning the entire link also affects the electrical stuff (even though the discipline is set to electrical). What we ended up doing was going into VG for the link and overriding the color there and set everything (except for light fixtures) to gray and beefed up the lineweight for light fixtures to match our settings. Kind of a pain, but in the end the result is what we wanted.

If you don't set the link to half tone, and don't manually change the architectural things to half tone, the view discipline should handle most of this for you.
All items that aren't considered "MEP" items automatically draw as "underlay" in MEP views.
