I have noticed with the new install that closing the Layer Properties Manager does not make the main AutoCAD window active. Has anyone noticed this behavior, and more importantly, can it be explained?

Hi
I've not experienced that behaviour with AutoCAD 2005.
Is the Layer Properties Manager Dialog Box the only AutoCAD Dialog Box to display that behaviour?
For what it's worth have you applied Service Pack 1 to AutoCAD 2005?
Have a good one, Mike
It is the only one I have noticed. I do more developing that drawing, and it only came to my attention while I was updating our saved layer states.
Service Pack 1 is happily installed.
It could be as simple to fix as reinstalling ACAD, but who wants to go there?

How about trying a Repair Install, within 5 minutes you will know if that fixed the problem or not.

Cool trick Mike, but no joy. Not all installations here act the same, either. I will keep poking at it when it irritates me; obviously if I find a setting I'll pass it on.
Thanks,
Scott
Hi Scott
Good luck and keep us informed of any developments....
