Default What's the beef with the new online help?

I'm building deployments for out Autodesk products and one of the config choices is 'Use Online Help from Autodesk web-site when available'. But I've heard there are problems with online help. What is the problem? Is is a problem for people with slow connections? Should I include it on the deployment?

Speed, organization, weird search results, there's been a number of points made. Not that users actually *use* the help system that much in the first place, but I think forcing it local would be a good idea. If you do, I think looking into scripting a periodic global update might be a good idea.

The various problems with the browser-based help (both online and offline), people's reactions to it, and the limitations of the CHM alternative have all been discussed on my blog:

Thanks guys. Sounds like it's not quite ironed out yet. I don't think I will include it. Sounds like Google will do just as well.
