Question Converting Metric to Imperial DWG

So I am a happy surveyor collecting data and drafting in METRIC. The client then decides he wishes IMPERIAL to be the end product. Does anyone know how to convert from METRIC TO IMPERIAL?

The easiest way I've found is to set your coordinate system on the Settings tab to reflect a Metric coordinate system (e.g. metric state plane) and then export all content to LandXML. Create a new drawing and set an Imperial coordinate system before bringing in the LandXML file. This works well for e.g. alignment/profile/point data. For a survey database I would think that the conversion can be handled in the survey database but I am not as familiar with that workflow.
