    Default Updating menus, CUIX, LIsps

    Hi,

I am CADmanager at our office. We use CAD 2008-2010.
When I make modifications to my *.mnu menus I want at a given time chosen by me an update to accour for the rest of the office without users unloadin/reloading cui, cuix mnu files.
What is the best way to do so?
Shall I make an acad.lsp acaddoc.lsp file with update commands in the support file search path when I want the update to be made?
Is this the right thing to do?

Let me say that I have three extra menus, nothing else. At thios moment what I can see is when I add a menu item I need to manually erase cuix file and then unload the menu, and load it in again for the changes to accour.
So, basically I want to make ACAD to reload cui/cuix, mnu files at a given time for the users when I'm finnished with updates.
    Best Regards,

I would think that anytime you add new content (new ribbon panels, menus, toolbars) that you would have to manually update the user's cui/cuix file. If you are just adding items to the menus, and are using an enterprise cui/cuix, then all you have to do is have that information stored in the enterprise, and the next time they start CAD, it will show up.

    Okay.

I've got two menus generating two seperate cui/cuix files.
Enterprise searchpath I can only search for one file. Do I need to somehow put them together? And will then the file update?

    best Regards

you can only have one enterprise cui/cuix file, in mine I have our 2 company ribbon tabs and 4 company toolbars + QAT. To set up your enterprise cui file, you may want to look here

You can actually setup the Enterprise CUI file to have another loaded onto it as partial. You could do so by temporarily loading it as the main CUI, then adding partials onto it. Please note it's recommended to do your modifications on a copy of the Enterprise CUI. See this document: http://au.autodesk.com/?nd=material&...terial_id=6085
