    Default Another Joist Question

Editing the joist families (to develope a write up) havent looked at these families in sooo long because we have custom families we use already made.

Can anyone tell me why there is extra set of ref planes and parameters for end panel and seat length in the middle-ish area of every OTB joist?

I can't see to find anything they are constraining/doing so I'm pretty sure they are just hanging out being ugly, and I really really want to delete them cuz they are just LOOKING at me. And I dont like it!

They are controlling the course stick representation in elevation and 3D views.

Well I should be good to go then cuz I'm deleting those model lines out and having symoblic represtation set to by project, because I'm noticing that the joists with those lines (and symbolic represtation set to by family) don't cut back the same distance as wide-flanges, etc at non 1/8" scales.

Or is there a better way for me to achieve that?

    Thanks!
