    Default Invisible dates?

on the project that I'm working on I'm having to use the Architect's titleblock and was asked this morning to add dates to a Milestones portion. Edited the family, the Milestones is a Group and the dates are tags. I edited the tags to show the correct dates, saved the file, loaded it into the project and the dates don't show up. Can anyone point me in a direction that will get my dates visible? Thanks!

Sounds like they have Labels in the Titleblock with Shared Parameters that arent loaded in to your Model. Ask them to send you their Shared Parameter Text file...

heh, so get this...the Architect shares their Revit model with me but won't send me their shared parameters text file. So I deleted the tags and made them text and we're good to go. Thanks again

LOL... uhhhhh.... Oooookay. Good way to collaborate, i guess. Go team!

As an FYI, tell them if theyre going to get their panties in a bunch over their super-duper-secret-parameters (zomg!) that they can copy the text file, and manually delete everything EXCEPT the titleblock parameters, and send THAT to you.

But wow. Theyre just parameters for crying out loud. You want mine? LOL

If you have the architect's model, you should be able to export the parameters out to your own shared parameter file. Go to manage>project parameters, select modify on the one you want, and hit export.

I thought of that yesterday but there's to many of them with weird names and I don't have the time to figure out which are the correct 4 that I need. TEXT...done
