Default Jerky cursor movement using Lines, Plines, Arcs

I am using AutoCAD 2011 on a Win64 bit home laptop with 6GB of ram. When I enter the above command, the cursor moves irradically. I am not sure if it is a running osnap or dynamic input issue. I have never had a problem running them in the past, so I am baffled. In some cases the computer indicates that AutoCAD is not responding, then starts working all of a sudden. Anyone else have this problem? The program acts like it is having problems dealing with osnaps.

    As a test....

Turn off (disable) all of the items in the status bar (Infer, Snap, Grid, Ortho, Polar, Osnap, 3DOsnap, Otrack, Ducs, Dyn, Lwt, Tpy, Qp, Sc)
    Close any open palettes.

    Any difference?
If it acts better, enable the above items you need, one at a time, looking for performance hits...

I always found a cure to jerky cursor movement (and other things) is to lower the graphics accelerator setting to it's lowest level. (In windows control panel). You can always set it up again for games etc.

I found out that turning off the DUCS (Dynamic UCS) removes the problem. I'm running Windows 7 x64 with 8GB of ram with a 1GB video card. Not sure what the issue is with the DUCS, but running 2D drawings, the dynamic UCS isn't necessary.
