    Default ActiveX Server returned an error: Element not found;

    Hello, im hoping someone has a fix for me......

    A Laptop using WinXP SP3 and AutoCAD2011, after a recent crash shows me the error; "ActiveX Server returned an error: Element not found." when trying to use the 'vlax-invoke-method' function to execute the 'GetXData' method.

    There is nothing wrong with the lisp code as it works fine on 15 other CAD stations all installed with AutoCAD2011.

    Re - installation / repair of AutoCAD doesnt seem to work neither does uninstall / reinstalling the VBA enabler.

    A version of DWG viewer had been installed/uninstalled which caused a problem with AutoCAD & .NET and was fixed by our IT department somehow.

    Any ideas of a fix....

    Many thanks.

    Default Re: ActiveX Server returned an error: Element not found;

    This particular problem has occured again. Although the error is different it still points to some problem with VBA/ActiveX - again after installing DWG viewer AutoCAD 2011 & 2012 will error for a VBA macro that works on every other machine with 'member not found' for this line of code;

    If Object.ObjectName = "AcDbRotatedDimension" Then.....

    ... any help would be appreciated.

    The only solution found so far is a complete system reinstall!!

    Many thanks.
