Choosing Rafter or Truss Construction

I have thee shed roofs, all the same family (basic roof) and type (shingled). One of the roofs does not have a property for the Rafter or Truss Construction. I don't know why it is misssing from the properties or how to get it back.

I believe the rafter/truss parameter is only available when creating you sketch using the pick wall tool. Did you sketch the third roof with the line tool instead?

It's possible; I don't remember, but perhaps I should recreate the roof and see if the parameter shows up.

Yep, that choice is only there when you use the Pick Wall tool for the slope-defining roof edges. That determines whether the bottom of the roof core intersects the wall at the inside face (rafter) or outside face (truss) of the wall core.
