Hi, I'm fairly new to Autocad Architecture. I have Autocad Architecture 2011. Recently, I've been trying to create my own furniture using view blocks and multi-view blocks.
Could someone point me to a comprehensive tutorial on how to PROPERLY do this? Here's what I tried (It didn't work quite right):
I drew my front view, typed "b" to bring up the block screen, and created a view block for the front view. I did this same thing for the top, sides, bottom, and a perspective view, making the insertion point the same area every time.
So... now I have 4 view-blocks: #1-top/bottom/back, #2-front, #3-sides (left/right), #4-perspective
I then went to manage>Style Manager>expanded 'multi-purpose objects'>expanded 'multi-view block definitions'>right clicked and chose 'new'.
Then, under the "view blocks" tab, I added my 4 view-blocks I just created and checked the boxes that corresponded to the views (I put my perspective view block as 'other'). I then clicked "apply" and "ok".
when I add my newly created multi-view block though, it only shows up in top and bottom view. When I go to any side view or front/back view, it only shows up as a 2d line.
any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any more info, I'll do my best to provide it... like I said, I'm new to this.
thanks,
Mike
