Thread: parametric 2d and 3d swing for doors and windows

    Doors and Windows need to have parametric opening parameters.

    This has to be an option that is "built-in" the door-window templates not a feature that needs to be "invented" by the user for custom families.

    It will be much easier if opening percentage is included as a parametric option of any element belonging to the "swing subcategory" and the "panel sub-category" of the family.

    Even though it sounds a little bit gimmicky...
    I fully support that idea I had the same idea before too, maybe Revit should make the doors and window as easy to control as Microsoft VISIO 's doors and windows interface, where there is a "handle" for you to just drag and swing open, window can be slide open, etc.

    I agree, I use Vectorworks for som things from the past and there is an option to allow swings on doors only from 0-100% It even works on bi-fold doors
